Tour Terms and Conditions

The terms for tour requests and trips arranged by TravelBuddyPH Tours.

Last updated October 18, 2026
For guests requesting or joining TravelBuddyPH Tours trips.
Other documents:
the short version
  • Sending a request is not a booking. Your trip is confirmed only after you accept our quotation and pay.
  • You pay only after we've checked availability with local operators.
  • If we cancel because of weather or sea conditions, you choose a new date or a full refund.

01About these terms

These terms apply when you request or join a trip with TravelBuddyPH Tours ("we", "us"). They are separate from the Terms of Service of the TravelBuddy app.

02Requests and quotations

  • A request sent through our website, Facebook page or Messenger is not a booking. Nothing is reserved and no payment is taken.
  • We check your dates with local boat operators and guides, then send you a confirmed itinerary and a quotation.
  • Your trip is booked only when you accept the quotation and pay the amount it asks for.

03Prices and payment

  • Prices are in Philippine pesos and include what the quotation lists, such as boat, guide, and entrance or environmental fees where stated.
  • Anything not listed in the quotation, like meals or personal expenses, isn't included.
  • We ask for payment only after availability is confirmed. Accepted payment methods are shown in your quotation.

04If you change or cancel

  • Date changes: free once, if you tell us at least 3 days before the trip and the new date is available.
  • Cancel 7 days or more before the trip: full refund.
  • Cancel 3 to 6 days before: 50% refund.
  • Cancel less than 3 days before, or don't show up: no refund.
  • If a member of your group can't join, you may send someone in their place. Just tell us their name before the trip.

05Weather, sea and safety

Island trips depend on weather, tides and sea conditions, and on advisories from the Coast Guard and local government. Some places, like Sohoton Cove, can only be entered at certain tides. If we cancel or shorten a trip for safety, you choose another date or a full refund for the part not done. Our guides may change the route or schedule on the day to keep everyone safe.

06On the trip

  • Follow your guide's instructions, and wear a life vest on boats and in deep water.
  • Respect protected areas: no littering, no touching or taking marine life, and follow local visitor rules.
  • Be on time. Late arrivals may shorten the trip for the whole group.

07Health and fitness

Tell us about any health conditions, mobility needs, children's ages or swimming ability when you request a trip, so we can plan around them. Some activities, like swimming, cliff jumping and cave visits, carry risk. Join only what you're comfortable with. We recommend travel insurance.

08Local operators

We arrange trips with licensed local boat operators and guides. They're responsible for operating their boats and services safely, and we choose them carefully.

09Photos

Our guides may take photos during the trip and send them to you. We post photos of guests only with their permission.

10Responsibility

To the extent allowed by Philippine law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the trip. We're not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our control, such as storms, government orders or transport disruptions, beyond the refund or rebooking described above.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes go to the proper courts of the Philippines.
